WHO WE ARE
Connecting4Communities (C4C) is a community organization in Chicago joining and representing four sub-communities – Little Italy, University Village, and University Commons, Roosevelt Square and Brooks Homes, and Tri-Taylor. While these sub-communities share common interests and a common fate, opportunities to connect and work together generally have been more latent than realized.

OUR MISSION
Build a vibrant and effective community by offering an organizing vehicle to connect people of like minds together who want to have a positive impact on issues of mutual concern.

HOW WE ADVANCE THE MISSION
C4C is an “organizing vehicle” created by and for community members. We are not a top-down but a bottom-up, true community organization. Improving public education in our community and ensuring that Roosevelt Square–one of the nation’s largest, most incomplete redevelopments of federal public housing–is developed effectively are important objectives for C4C. Our public education task and our planning and design task force are both composed of community residents with skill sets in education, architecture, finance, development and urban planning.
