At this event we always honor someone who has stood out for their outstanding commitment for the betterment of our communities.  This year’s honoree is University Village resident Mary Vega.  Mary has been an active community policing supporter. She is our 1232 beat representative attending all CAPS meetings and also sits on the 12th District Advisory Committee of the Chicago Police Department. In addition she is in communication with the UIC Police that also patrol our neighborhood and she even has ridden with them on their patrols. Committed to her community, she also sits on the board of the University Village Homeowners Association and is a member of the University Village Neighborhood Association. What a dedicated neighbor.

Please plan on joining all of us at this wonderful event.  A great way to spend a cold winter Chicago weekend with a lot of community folks in a great local venue cheering on Mary and the UIC Flames.
