American Theater Company presents THE PROJECT(S)

For anyone in our community who cares about our city’s past and future, this is a must see production. The script is based on 100 interviews with current and past residents of the Chicago Housing Authority, policy makers and historians. It is an educational, powerful and gripping drama. An unbelievably energetic and talented cast who can sing and dance will hold you spellbound with their characterizations of multiple people. This play provides an important perspective for our community living through one of the largest, most incomplete redevelopments of federal public housing in the nation. American Theater Company and the Chicago theater community is mourning the loss of American Theater Company’s leader and artistic director PJ Paparelli, who passed away on May 21 from injuries due to a car accident in Scotland. He was a nationally renowned artist who conceived and directed THE PROJECT(S) and co-wrote it with Joshua Jaeger.
