What is the LSC?
The LSC is an elected body at each Chicago Public School, and it is an important way to get involved in the school that serves our community. Some responsibilities of LSCs include approving how school funds and resources are allocated, approving and monitoring the implementation of the annual school improvement plan, and hiring and evaluating the school’s principal. The LSC is made up of the principal, 6 parent representatives, 2 community representatives, 2 teacher representatives and 1 non-teacher staff representative.
