Come see ALADDIN at Provision Theater Company’s Theater for Young Audiences

Aladdin. The play will run September 14 – October 12 with performances on Saturdays at 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. at Provision Theater, 1001 W. Roosevelt Rd., Chicago, IL 60608.

It’s time for a magic carpet ride! Come along with Aladdin as he journeys to the Cave of Treasures to find the magic lamp…and the Genie who lives inside!  What will Aladdin do with the three wishes the Genie gives him?  Will he be able to win the hand of the lovely Princess? Will he find a way to save the kingdom from the evil plans of the Sultan’s advisor? There’s only one way to find out!

“This epic yet enchanting rendition of Aladdin offers something that everyone will enjoy–whether you’re young or young at heart,” says Priscilla Hummel, Provision Theater’s Education Director.

Hummel will direct and choreograph the production with book, music, and lyrics by Marc Robin. The show features Adam Molloy as ‘Aladdin’, Monica Szaflik as ‘Princess Zenovia’, Frederick Harris as ‘Malaki’, Stephanie Wohor as ‘Cashew, the monkey’,  Sean Thomas as ‘Karim’, Dane Halvorson as ‘Prince Shemendrick/Prince Vanity/High Priest’, and Jazelle Morris as ‘The Genie’. The Ensemble includes Steven Lyons, Angela Alise, Sophia Lopez, and Branden Smith.

In addition to Hummel, the production team includes Music Director Andy Clifton, Lighting Designer Cat Wilson, Props Master Jess Koster, Scenic Coordinator Elizabeth Tanner, Scenic Artist Ashley Woods, Costume Coordinator Myra Su, and Production Stage Manager Natasha Parsons.
