The UIC Symphonic Choir, and professional ensemble the Janus Ensemble, perform Cherubini’s Requiem in C Minor.

The Janus Ensemble is a professional chamber orchestra founded by Andrew Lewis and Kirsten Hedegaard in 1998. The ensemble performs Early and Baroque music according to historically informed performance practice as well as new music, focusing on living composers. The ensemble has performed the modern world premieres of several cantatas by the Baroque master Johann Krieger as well as world premieres of up and coming young composers. The Janus Ensemble is in residence at The Musical Offering, a nonprofit music school in Evanston. Martin Davids is concertmaster.
