Poet, novelist, and UIC alumna Gail Lukasik reads from her recently published book, The Lost Artist, on Friday, February 22, 5:30 p.m., in the Richard J. Daley Library conference room 1-470. Lukasik also will discuss writing books (and getting them published), poetry, and teaching.
Her latest book is a mystery that tells a story that originates from the discovery of murals depicting the massive relocation program that drove Native Americans from their homes in the Southeast to reservations in the West. A book signing and reception follow her talk.
This event is sponsored by the UIC Library, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Department of English, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Alumni Association, and the University of Illinois Alumni Association. For more information email email@example.com
