Volunteering Thanksgiving Morning at St. Ignatius

I grew up in a household of volunteers. I have vivid memories as a child of helping my mother and my father on many of their efforts to help their community through their volunteer work.

Alderman Solis is hosting his annual Thanksgiving Luncheon for seniors, homeless and veterans in this area on Thanksgiving morning. Each year this event brings together people in the community to give thanks for all that we are blessed with.

This is also a great time to volunteer your time and it’s right down the road at St. Ignatius. Volunteers are needed (kids are certainly welcome) to help serve food and clean up.

The event is Thursday, November 22nd
Shifts: 9 am to 12 noon OR 11 am to 2 pm
St. Ignatius College Prep (lunch room)
1076 W. Roosevelt Road

If you are interested in volunteering, please email ward25chicago@gmail.com with your name, number and shift you’d like to work. You can also call 773.523.4100 to RSVP

This is the 4th year that my husband Steven and I have volunteered. It is a great way to start the Thanksgiving Day.
For those of you that can join you are most welcome!
