Walk to the theatre at UIC

Did you know that UIC has a first-class theatre department?  Several times a year we have the opportunity to walk to the theatre, see plays directed by the top directors from Chicago professional theatres, and talented actors-in-training who go on to careers in live theatre and TV as soon as they are done learning their craft?  Come out this weekend to see the comedy  “Dying For It”.   It is  Moira Buffini’s raucous adaptation of the celebrated Russian farce  “The Suicide” by Nicolai Erdman.   This script was banned by Stalin before a single performance when it was written.  It is a roller-coaster of a comedy  that will have you laughing out loud.   Opening tonite, Friday the 9th at 7:30.    Opening Night: November 9 at 7:30pm
Also performing on: November 10, 15, 16, and 17 at 7:30pm, November 14 at noon,  November 11 and 18 at 2:00pm.   Order tickets online at theatreandmusic.aa.uic.edu or call box office at (312) 996-2939.   Join me on Saturday night to see what it’s all about and to check out the UIC Theatre on Harrison Street (near corner of Morgan).   I’ll report back on the show…
